Cement Tile Roof Restoration Process

With over 15 years experience in restoring iron, cement and terracotta roof tiles Roofline has developed a detailed seven stage restoration process.  Leaving your old tired roof looking like new at a fraction of the replacement cost.  With over 32 available colours and a 10 year Dulux manufacturers guarantee you can rest assured you roof has been restored to the highest possible standard.

Stage 1. Replace all broken, cracked, chipped and defective tiles.
Stage 2. High pressure clean your complete roof and ridge caps, with a final rinse of your roof, gutters and premises
Stage 3. Rebedding of your ridge caps. This is where the caps are lifted, your old cement fully removed and a new bed of sand & cement laid.
Stage 4. Repointing. This is where a second layer of flexible pointing compound is applied by trowel over the bed of sand and cement.
Stage 5. Sterilization.  A fungicide is applied to the roof tiles to kill any remaining spores within the tiles and prevent any future moss and lichen growth.
Stage 6. Sealing.  Depending on the age and condition of the roof tiles either a water based primer or enamel sealer is sprayed onto the tiles, in preparation for the membrane.
Stage 7. Coating.  2 coats of Dulux Acra Tex roofing membrane are applied to finish the restoration process. This leaves the old porous tiles waterproof and looking like new.
