Roof Restoration – Baulkham Hills

Stage 1.

Roofline recently replaced this iron roof in Baulkham Hills. The roof had several leaks and its overall condition was poor, roof restoration wasn't the answer. The roof required replacement with a new colorbond roof.

Stage 1

Stage 2.

The first process was to remove the roof tiles adjoining the flat roof. It was here where we discovered evidence of severe rust corrosion and the main cause of the leaking roof.

Stage 2

Stage 3.

Once the roof tiles and flashings were removed the next process was to remove the old sheeting. The old insulation was also removed.

Stage 3

Stage 4.

Building blanket (an insulated foil underlay) is laid underneath the roof sheets. New timber battens and insulation are also installed. The roof sheets are fixed using colour matched roofing screws.

Stage 4

Stage 5.

As the roof starts to take shape we can see clear polycarbonate roof sheets also being laid. The old roof is stripped and laid in sections to allow for a safer working platform.

Stage 5

Stage 6.

The last section of the original roof was removed and the re-roof is almost complete. The roof sheets are screwed down into position as we progress.

Stage 6

Stage 7.

Once all the sheets are fixed we install new flashings where the roof tiles meet the colorbond. Finally the old terracotta roof tiles are relayed and any necessary tiled roof repairs undertaken. This completes the colorbond re-roof giving this roof a new lease of life.
